If I had to sum up the past six months in one word, it would be full.
Full of joy. Full of change. Full of long days, late nights, and endless to-do lists.
From getting engaged to planning a wedding all in just four short months, life has been a whirlwind of excitement and logistics. Add in serving as both Assistant Director and Interim Director during the chaos of audit season, and it’s safe to say there hasn’t been a dull moment in sight.
There were weeks when my calendar looked more like a puzzle than a plan with color-coded chaos holding everything together. Wedding checklists collided with work spreadsheets, and somehow, I was trying to balance both with a smile (and plenty of coffee).
Yet even in the midst of all the busyness, there’s been a quiet nudge on my heart – a reminder that God isn’t asking me to do it all, just to seek Him in it all. Because peace isn’t found in an empty calendar . . . it’s found in His steady presence, even when the days are filled to overflowing.

A Little Update and a Fresh Start
After taking a bit of a pause, I’ve felt God stirring something new in this space – a desire to share more of what He’s teaching me through everyday moments, both the beautiful and the busy.
With that, I’ve refreshed the blog’s tagline to reflect what’s truly at the heart of it all:
Rooted in Faith. Designed with Grace.
Those words perfectly capture what I want this space to be – a reminder that everything good and lasting begins with faith, and that grace is what carries us through it all.
The Gentle Whisper in the Chaos
It wasn’t loud or demanding. It was gentle – a whisper from God reminding me that even in the busiest seasons – or maybe especially in them – He’s still at work and calling me closer.
A reminder that He isn’t asking me to do more for Him, but to be with Him.
As I look back, I realize that while this season has stretched me thin, it’s also drawn me near – to Him. In the middle of all the noise and deadlines, I’ve felt His quiet presence reminding me to breathe. I’ve sensed His peace when leadership felt heavy and uncertain. And I’ve experienced His joy in planning a day that wasn’t just about us, but about celebrating His faithfulness through our love story.
And through it all, one thing has kept resurfacing – the call to write again.
A Calling Reawakened
This blog has been quiet for a while. Life got full, priorities shifted, and the creative space that once brought me so much joy slowly slipped into the background.
I kept telling myself I’d return to it when life calmed down – but somehow, that “calm” always seemed to sty just out of reach.
Lately, though, God’s been gently calling me back. Back to sharing what He’s teaching me. Back to writing about faith, grace, and the beauty of ordinary moments. Back to the dream He placed on my heart years ago – to create a space that points to Him, even if it only reaches one person.
I used to think I needed a perfectly peaceful season to write again. But I’m realizing that God doesn’t wait for our lives to be calm before He calls us forward. Sometimes He places the desire right in the middle of the mess – because that’s when we’re most dependent on Him. It’s in those moments that we most need to lift our above the chaos around us and trust that God is present with us, even in the mess.

Rooted in Faith. Designed with Grace
As I step into this new season – newly married, work still overflowing with deadlines, and my heart full of gratitude – I feel a renewed purpose to write from right where I am.
Not from perfection. Not from having it all together. But from the real, everyday moments where faith meets farmhouse living and grace fills in all the gaps.
If you’ve ever found yourself in a season that feels too full to breathe, I hope this reminds you that even then, God is working. He’s refining, teaching, and drawing you closer – not always in the quiet, but sometimes right in the middle of the chaos.
“Be still, and know that I am God.” – Psalm 46:10
Here’s to slowing down enough to hear His voice again.
Here’s to listening for His whisper amid the noise.
And here’s to saying “yes” once again – to His calling, His timing, and His grace in every season.
