I’m back today with a look at my cozy Christmas guest bedroom. For as long as I can remember, I have enjoyed adding Christmas decor to almost every room of the house. The guest bedroom is certainly no exception and received a little makeover for the holidays this year. It’s a modest sized room and a bit difficult to photograph! But during the day it is filled with amazing natural light. Come join me as I show you a few of the touches I included to make this bedroom a cozy little spot for guests this year.
This bedroom is directly off of the main living room, so sprucing it up for the holiday season was a must for me. My Christmas decor in most of the house has a more rustic farmhouse vibe. But in this room I stayed with a more traditional look. Lots of reds and greens go well with this bed that I have had for at least a decade. I love the farmhouse cottage feel that keeps this smaller room light and airy. And the creamy white color is the perfect backdrop for any seasonal look.
This adorable North Pole Trading Co sign came from Walmart! They really stepped up their Christmas decor game this year and this sign was one of several very affordable options. I love how the red ties in with the pillows and garland. It ended up being perfect for the space above the headboard. I added flocked garland, also from Walmart, and some lights to make this a magical little spot at night. Who can’t resist the twinkle of Christmas lights on a headboard?!
I wanted to keep the main bedding in this room fairly neutral. A solid green quilt added seasonal color but also provided a simple palette for me to add in some fun plaid pillows that I found at Homegoods. I have a weakness when it comes to pillows in general, but especially Christmas pillows. This rustic plaid spoke to my farmhouse loving heart!
Last year I fell in love with this Reindeer Feed pillow. When I found the North Pole Trading Co sign this year, I knew I had my theme for this room – all things North Pole! Don’t you love it when a plan comes together with so little effort? (Actually, it doesn’t happen very often for me!!)
This red and white mitten garland has been part of my Christmas decor for over a decade. I love the fun, whimsical touch that it adds to the flocked garland and once again it ties in all of the red in this room.
Thank you for joining me today for a look at my Christmas guest bedroom. I hope it has given you some inspiration if you are hosting guests, or even if you just want to have fun decorating your guest room! It’s always so nice to be able to host family or friends, and creating a festive and cozy space always helps anyone feel a little more at home. May you enjoy celebrating this Christmas season with loved ones and new friends alike.
Happy Holidays,
Latitia
